What is The MDC?

As Cheryl continues to grow as an interior stylist, her strong sense of community shines through. Driven by her passion for her community, she was inspired to take action when she learned that black designers make up only a small percentage, ranging from 1.5% to 2% of all designers in the United States. In response she felt compelled to incorporate an element into her business that addresses this issue.

The result of her dedication and commitment is the creation of the Mahogany Design Collective (MDC).  MDC serves as an empowering platform for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) creatives, providing them with the opportunity to be showcased, promoted, and united within a single, inclusive community. Every member affiliated with MDC undergoes a thorough vetting process, ensuring trustworthiness and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact in their community.

Within the MDC community, you'll find a diverse array of members, ranging from real estate agents to artists, photographers to event planners. Each offering unique services or products that enhance your experiences. They bring their innate talents, skills, and, most importantly, their individual essence to the table, resulting in a rich tapestry of offerings to benefit your living spaces and lifestyle.
